The d/t/smbclient-share-access DEP8 test currently assumes there is an ubuntu
posix user present on the system. This works for ubuntu, but won't work
elsewhere, like in Debian for example:

I think that means it couldn't find the exact same package to reinstall.
I'm sorry but the dpkg -l command I gave you truncated its output, so I
don't know the full version of your grub-pc package. It only showed up
to "2.02~beta2-3".
Please do this instead:
apt-cache policy grub-pc

Ok, try this one then. It will undo your change to the postinst file,
but it might show other information:
sudo apt install --reinstall grub-pc
And at the end:
dpkg -l grub-pc
