I must admit, Dustin's feedback is the first I ever heard about this
being undesirable.
One thing that we want to do in upstream MAAS is to have a guided
installation that will set up not only things like admin passwords, but
also take the user through their network set up.

I am with Dave on this. We aim to have 100s of thousands of machines in
MAAS's realm at some point; pronounceable names have never been brought
up before and I can't see what advantage it brings to cloud-like
resources.
If someone is *desperate* for a pronounceable name in MAAS, there is
