When qemu-kvm is installed, it enables loading of kvm and kvm_intel on
reboot, but it doesn't actually load the modules when the package is
installed. It would be far more convenient if it automatically loaded
them.

Yes, this "fix" now breaks our setup. Our users have access to an
external network but to give them admin would be a huge policy
violation. This really should have been changed to use the policy.json
to limit access or open it up.

Based on the fact that flush_tlb_page() appears to be taking up most of
the CPU time when QEMU is 'frozen' I started playing with memory
settings. Disabling automatic NUMA balancing appears to have solved the
problem. echo 0 > /proc/sys/kernel/numa_balancing

As far as I'm aware I haven't installed from anywhere other than the
normal repos. I certainly don't ever recall doing so. Though you are

I tried adding a soft link in as that bug suggested but it doesn't seem
to have helped. I still get the same error messages when I restart

This bug, which is still present in Ubuntu Server 9.10, makes php
development on ubuntu much more difficult.
Piping long output streams into a pager is a standard part of any
developer's day-to-day work, and php usage from the command line is
essential to many users.
I'd like to see this bug made
using su will log a user in and mount the folder/drive correctly
(as root). When the session ends the unmount will be attempted as user.
su under Fedora does not have this issue.

Worth noting that libpam-mount does not have a problem. Its SU that has
the issue and the way it calls the umount as a user but mounts as root.

I just got bitten by the Tomcat6 being compiled for JDK 1.6, for someone
who is used to the standard distributions from http://tomcat.apache.org/
I lost quite a bit of time chasing down the reason.
It wasn't helped by the fact that in the file /etc/init.d/tomcat6 is the
line:

The task on ubuntu-docs is invalid, this isn't a problem with the
documentation as the package should be installable. When the package is
fixed, the documentation will work as intended.
I've accidentally declined this bug for intrepid on ebox as I didn't
