Public bug reported:

Reinstalling openvswitch--datapath-dkms after all OVS commands failed
(e.g. ovs vs-ctl show) with message saying db.sock connection attempt
failed (No such file or directory).

I think a recent update/upgrade installed a newer kernel
(3.2.0-70-generic) and then OVS commands failed. I uninstalled all the
openvswitch-* pacakages and reinstalled and get a failure building the
datapath-dkms package.
