Hello,

wenn calling "normal" check_http -a user:pass  the plugin creates an
HTTP Basic auth header which decodes to " user:pass" with an additional
space at beginning which causes http auth to fail.


# /usr/lib/nagios/plugins/check_http -V
check_http v1.5 (nagios-plugins 1.5)

# apt-cache show nagios-plugins-basic | grep ^Version
Version: 1.5-3ubuntu1
# lsb_release -d
Description:    Ubuntu 14.04.2 LTS

actual workaround:

/usr/lib/nagios/plugins/check_http -H host -auser:pass ...
