I add mailman, as I think this issue affects mailman's python scripts
when running with apache-mpm-itk.
Running any of the python's scripts on a site protected with apache-mpm-
itk gives a "Operation not permitted" error

Testcase that works to reproduce the error. This is not nautilus
related. To check this yourself try this:
Create or copy files to test the transfer with.
Rename them to contain special characters. Especially files should contain the
:
Move / Copy them via mv cp or nautilus.

I want to add this detail. The File lenght on the Target Share was not
an issue. There were files in the same folder with longer filenames. But
some Filenames were truncated to 17 chars. Other Filenames survived with
'special' characters in the name. The bug must be in the deep logic a
caused soleyly
by the filename.
Transfer files with nautilus from ubuntu to the mounted share.
Inspect the files.
Here all of a sudden almost all the files I moved in one folder
contained 0 byte files. The Filename sometimes seems to get truncated
also. I lost the original Files this way so I

I'm not 100% sure because I don't know the configuration of the
Launchpad builder machines.
On my system and on the pbuilders on my system, /sys is mounted and
open-scsi installs fine.
On the Launchpad builder machines (for instance, Samarium), open-iscsi
does not install. Is /sys
