and then I type:

Expected result:
with my current configuration of Postfix (which I attach below), it should
ALWAYS relay the email.

Oh! I guess you mean /etc/ssh/sshd_config on the server.
This is a client issue, however here is the sshd_config from the server
just in case it is of any help:

where myhost.com is some host where you have ssh access and user is the user
name
3. Enter the password when prompted
4. Wait for several minutes or hours without doing anything
5. try to type something
