Public bug reported: Hello,
I've being using Samba with OpenLDAP on Ubuntu 10.04 and after upgrading it to 12.04 smbd does not start anymore. I did verify pam/ldap integration and everything looks fine. I was able to login with a ldap user through ssh, did getent passwd, smbldap-grouplist and smbldap-usershow. Everything looks fine, except smbd. I've installed samba debugging symbols and attached my configuration, logs and the core itself. # lsb_release -d Description: Ubuntu 12.04 LTS # apt-cache policy samba samba: Instalado: 2:3.6.3-2ubuntu2.2 Candidato: 2:3.6.3-2ubuntu2.2 Tabela de versão: *** 2:3.6.3-2ubuntu2.2 0 500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ precise-updates/main amd64 Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status 2:3.6.3-2ubuntu2.1 0 500 http://security.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ precise-security/main amd64 Packages 2:3.6.3-2ubuntu2 0 500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ precise/main amd64 Packages []s!
