Thanks for reporting this bug. Just to be clear - is the laptop in fact
'suspending' or 'hibernating'? Do you have this same problem if you
remove the custom configuration for hybrid suspend?

The laptop is doing a hybrid sleep: writing to disk and then sleeping to
RAM. It does not happen when I revert to the default suspend-only mode.
Also, I notice this happens only when my RAM utilisation is high. I
don't know if that is a bug or intended because my swap partition is
small.
