Public bug reported:

On Vivid:

juju-quickstart 1.4.2-0ubuntu1
juju-core 1.20.11-0ubuntu1 (installed by juju-quickstart)

Steps to reproduce:

"sudo apt-get install juju-quickstart" on a Vivid cloud image.
Run "juju-quickstart" as the ubuntu user
Choose to bootstrap a local environment automatically (the default option)
Automatically create an ssh key when asked, with a blank passphrase.

Actual results:

I get many errors of the form:

11:23:53 WARNING app@connect:307 Retrying: unable to connect to the Juju
API server on wss://localhost:17070: [SSL: CERTIFICATE_VERIFY_FAILED]
certificate verify failed (_ssl.c:581)

and then back to the shell prompt.

"juju status" shows me a single bootstrapped machine with no services
deployed.

Expected results: Juju GUI should be deployed and reachable.

I detected this error when testing an upload of juju-core 1.20.14. I'm
now not sure whether to upload this or not.

** Affects: juju-quickstart (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
