Public bug reported: When I have an active OpenVPN connection, created via network-manager- vpn or commandline opnvpn and start a torrent application (tested with transmission-gtk and deluge), my connection stops working.
As long as I keep the torrent app closed, I can browse/mail/chat/ssh/ping all I want as expected. But on opening the app, all network traffic seems te bo blocked. Don't know how to further test this, but do suggest commands I should try. I've got no clue what's causing this. Only thing I know is this stopped working sometime after upgrading to the current 15.04 alpha. This happens on two different OpenVPN providers. I first thought it was a bug in transmission-gtk, so I initially opened https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/transmission/+bug/1436055 ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 15.04 Package: openvpn 2.3.2-9ubuntu2 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.19.0-10.10-generic 3.19.2 Uname: Linux 3.19.0-10-generic x86_64 ApportVersion: 2.16.2-0ubuntu4 Architecture: amd64 CurrentDesktop: Unity Date: Wed Mar 25 15:30:30 2015 InstallationDate: Installed on 2014-07-07 (260 days ago) InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 14.04 LTS "Trusty Tahr" - Release amd64 (20140417) SourcePackage: openvpn UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) ** Affects: openvpn (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug vivid ** Description changed: When I have an active OpenVPN connection, created via network-manager- vpn or commandline opnvpn and start a torrent application (tested with transmission-gtk and deluge), my connection stops working.
