Thank you for your report. etckeeper can use bzr, git, mercurial or darcs, and requires only one of these to be installed. If you already have git installed (for example), then the dependency is fulfilled and bzr will not be installed. On Ubuntu etckeeper currently defaults to bzr, so in this cas
