Public bug reported: Binary package hint: samba
I right clicked on a folder to create a shared directory and the system reported that it needed some packages (for example samba packages). After its installation my user was inserted in the group smbusers but, obviously, X didn't start with this group credential. So the share didn't run. After restarting X all ran ok. I think, after installing samba packages, Ubuntu should mark a restart action. ** Affects: samba (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- sharing a folder reports permission issues in Hardy Heron (32 bit) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/245493 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to samba in ubuntu. -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
