I'm not able to test this any more as I no longer use a dial up
connection (left Australia so no more 3g card!). Hopefully somebody else
can test to see if this issue still exists.

reproducible with the live environment of the Desktop CD of the
development release - Karmic Koala. It would help us greatly if you
could test with it so we can wo
the same thing on 8.10 (works fine for eth0)

Same here. This work in Ubuntu 7.10. In my case prepend is not
considered even in Wired or Wireless.
