You have been subscribed to a public bug: When i used my DLINK Networkdrives on UBUNTU 8.04.1 i could login in protected maps with user and password that was configured in de Network drive.I received a login screen. Now with UBUNTU 8.10 you do not receive de login screen but only a message that the connection is not possible. Maps on the drive that are not password protected can be reached. Coudn't continue using UBUNTU 8.10 due to this issue because i use nothing else than Network Drives. Reinstalled 8.04.1 and everything is working fine again. It seems to be a security priority issue or maybe something that needs to be set-up.
