You have been subscribed to a public bug: Hello, I installed Ubuntu 8.10, and after installed all updates, samba doesn't work. I can't connect to my shares (localhost). In network place, I received "Failed to retreive share list from server".
I've not change smb.conf. I've two shares created by the graphical method with nautilus-share, with guest allow. Iptables accept all connections.
