Public bug reported: Hello! I've had a working ssh connection to my home computer Ubuntu Karmic 9.04 up-to-date with openssh-server
I've installed Ubuntu Lucid after release of Alpha 3, also everything up to date. After this I could not connect anymore. The error was "ssh_exchange_identification: Connection closed by remote host" It reached the remote machine, but the failed. Anyway I finally decided to downgrade from openssh-client v. 1:5.3p1-3ubuntu1: i386 installed on my Lucid to openssh-client 1:5.1p1-6ubuntu2 After this it worked without problems.
lsb_release -rd Description: Ubuntu lucid (development branch) Release: 10.04

apt-cache policy openssh-client openssh-client: Installed: 1:5.1p1-6ubuntu2 Candidate: 1:5.3p1-1ubuntu2
** Affects: eucalyptus (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: openssh-client -- openssh-client in lucid cannot connect to openssh-server in karmic https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/530513 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to eucalyptus in ubuntu. -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
