This actually worked really well so that suggestion was perfect. After
removing the packages everything synched up properly again. :)

Dpkg log is full of:
/var/cache/apt/archives/libk5crypto3_1.7dfsg~beta3-1ubuntu0.4_i386.deb' is not
a debian format archive
Looks like corrupted packages, could you remove the affected packages
(rm /var/cache/apt/archives/*1.7dfsg~beta3-1ubuntu0.4*) and try again ?
