Don't know whose fault this is (BIOS or Ubuntu or Acer) but when the CPU
is under heavy load (e.g. Flash) it regularly goes to above 80C - which
shouldn't be happening, as the fan ought to kick in. Something along the
way is stopping this (whether it be the ACPI or the drivers). I have
noticed it especially on Lucid. In Karmic, when I tilt the laptop to the
right, the fan tends to go on more often, but this doesn't happen on
Lucid. The fan needs to be switched on perhaps above 40 or 50 C, but the
fact that it isn't kicking in above 80 (and Ubuntu regularly shuts down
because of it getting over 85) is worrying.

Laptop: Acer Aspire 5610
Processor: Core Duo T2300 (1.66Ghz x 2)
Tried on: Lucid, Karmic
