I found it was missing another package, so I've installed it: the package is File Sharing (service for file sharing). Now I can share folders using Nautilus. But I cannot reach any folder from network or see other PC on the network because all the other problems are still on. -- impossible to

As I see you try only with the network names, can you try with the ip's. And about smb.conf you really need/use this: logon drive = m: logon home = \\%L\homes\%u logon path = \\%L\profiles\%u logon script = %G.bat They are normally for domain controlled networks,
