Not replacing deleted config file /etc/samba/smb.conf
Install/upgrade will fail. To recover, please try:
sudo cp /usr/share/samba/smb.conf /etc/samba/smb.conf
sudo dpkg --configure -a
dpkg: error al
It appears from the DpkgTerminalLog that you un-installed and then re-
installed samba; did you also manually remove the /etc/samba/smb.conf
file?
If so please can you try the recovery steps as described in #2.
