Not sure why this was assigned to mountall; mountall only parses
/etc/fstab at boot time, it certainly isn't going to be responsible for
writing to it. Reassigning to nautilus, which I guess is what would
have to provide an option to convert gvfs mounts into boot-time mounts
by adding them to the
Samba doesnt prompt the user for a GUI, this is not a samba bug either.

I think a solution to this would be for there to be a permanent entry
created in the fstab that would remember the network share each time it
was connected. This should happen automatically so that the user does
not need to worry about it.
