Public bug reported: Binary package hint: qemu-kvm
The qemu package in 10.04 LTS (0.12.3) has a bug which corrupts virtio disks 2TB and larger. This is corrected in qemu 0.12.5, which is present in 10.10. The corruption happens quickly, after about 80GB of files copied, with no I/O errors on the host or the guest VM. There are more details in the redhat bug report https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=605757. I believe that this is something that should be fixed for LTS. ** Affects: qemu-kvm (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to qemu-kvm in ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/715232 Title: File system corruption with >=2TB virtio disks -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
