Public bug reported:

(the process listing output in this bug report is invalid, I have
manually killed ssh-agent in an attempt to get it working before
reporting this bug)

I've been running ssh-agent since at least 9.04, it's worked beautifully
until 11.04, where the communication between ssh and ssh-agent seems to
have fallen apart. This particular machine was a fresh 10.04 install,
upgraded to 10.10, and upgraded again to 11.04.

ps shows that ssh-agent is running, the environment variables point to a
valid unix domain socket and the PID is correct for the running agent.
However ssh does not bring up the pinentry program; I enter the
passphrase at the shell prompt and the login works as normal. However
the computer I connected to does not show the agent variables as they
used to (and I can't ssh to another machine from that machine and use
the key, as is possible with an agent and agent forwarding).

/etc/alternatives/pinentry points to /usr/bin/pinentry-qt4, which is
correct, and pinentry-qt4 is executable and appears to work correctly (I
can issue GETPIN and get the popup and have the pin entered returned to
the shell).
