Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: ntpdate

I changed the ntp server using the System menu like described here:

https://help.ubuntu.com/community/UbuntuTime

But I still get error mails from Anacron:

/etc/cron.daily/ntpdate:
3 May 07:45:19 ntpdate[23946]: no server suitable for synchronization found
run-parts: /etc/cron.daily/ntpdate exited with return code 1

Maybe the script should be changed to something like this:

ntpdate $(perl -ne 'print " $1" if /^server (.+)$/' /etc/ntp.conf)
1>/dev/null

I don't have the need for a ntpd to run ether - the cron job would have
sufficed.
To change from a daily cronjob to a running daemon just because I don't use the
default server seems inconsistent to me.

** Affects: ntp (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
