Public bug reported: Binary package hint: libvirt-bin
libvirt automatically starts up dnsmaq, and guests using dhcp use it. In order to resolve the IP addresses of the local guests from the host the address that the dnsmasq process is using should be added to the top of /etc/resolv.conf . It would be nice if, assuming the resolvconf package is installed, there was an option to automatically add and remove the entry when libvirt- bin/dnsmasq is started and stopped. (Ubuntu 11.04) libvirt-bin 0.8.8-1ubuntu6 ** Affects: libvirt (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to libvirt in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/783951 Title: Automatically add libvirt dnsmasq to resolv.conf -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
