Public bug reported: Binary package hint: apache2
After enabling ssl on my apache2 installation, doing an apache2 reload or restart produces messages like this in the error log: SSL Library Error: 336027900 error:140760FC:SSL routines:SSL23_GET_CLIENT_HELLO:unknown protocol speaking not SSL to HTTPS port!? These are explained here: http://wiki.apache.org/httpd/InternalDummyConnection#SSL_Considerations Simply reordering the Listen directives in /etc/apache2/ports.conf solves the problem. I'm attaching a patch. ** Affects: apache2 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to apache2 in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/795315 Title: unknown protocol speaking not SSL to HTTPS port on apache2 reload/restart To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/apache2/+bug/795315/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
