Public bug reported: I'm using the openvswitch updated version in Oneiric. I've installed Xen and made a xenbr0 bridge in /etc/network/interfaces. When I start the openvswitch initscript it doesn't remove the bridge module, but loads the brcompat module.
With this setup, whenever I edit the bridge using brctl, every delif command removes interfaces from the bridge and also from the ovs bridge, but when I add an interface with brctl addif, it only adds the interface in the bridge, and not in the ovs bridge. I can manually add the interface using ovs-vsctl add-port <bridge> <interface>, and then delete it again with brctl delif. It works as intended again with delif, but never with addif. ** Affects: openvswitch (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to openvswitch in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/917309 Title: brcompatd works with brctl delif but doesn't with addif To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/openvswitch/+bug/917309/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
