Hi,
I tried to build a package providing the version from git, build with
Qt5. Building QjackCtl works, but building the package fails. Neither
all files are included to the package, nor the dependencies are listed.
Btw. the Qt5 version looks beautiful and seems to run without issues.

I have the new version in Ubuntu 14.04... So I guess that KX Studio is

At the moment Wily still provides the old version of QjackCtl. I'll
write a script to build an Ubuntu package of the new version of QjackCtl
with an updated debian/changelog. It should be possible to use it for
other releases too.
Perhaps I can provided it today or tomorrow.

I just tested the new version of Qjackctl with the split
parameters/advanced. I was a bit disappointed at first (change without
warning) but actually, I find it great. You actually get the same
parameters than when launching Ardour 4 (or other apps) if Jackd is not
running. This is more consistent.
Yes , its about time it had an overhaul - not the most intuitive UI.
I wish it had the facility to detect which soundcard is plugged in and set
it automatically rather than the last one used.

Hi,
has somebody an opinion regarding the QjackCtl GUI that should be
provided for Wily?
To become more user-friendly for those who aren't Linux geeks Rui
introduced settings split to "Parameters" and "Advanced".
Which version of QjackCtl should be provided might be important to
avoid confusion.
