1. In Patchage, sometimes when I'm routing stuff, it will pop up with a "T"
pointer and I can't click on anything,
what I've been doing to remedy this is to kill patachage from one of the
low-level shell screens, but there have
been times when it's prevented me from switching.. I've also no

I have a really idiotic way of fixing dual boots..
Go into the BIOS and disable the windows drive, when I want to run linux,
and enable windows and disable the linux drive when wanting to run windows.
Of course you have to have two drives configured, but the windows drive
doesn't
see the linux..
I'm using the M-audio MIDI SPORT UNO Midi adapter..
You know there are drivers available for it from the synaptic.
It works fine and shows up in Jack. Search for "midisport" in
the synaptic.

Hi do you really need Windows? Il n'y pas grand chose que l'ont ne puisse faire
avec ubuntu.
Si c'est pour les jeux, prend un pc juste pour ça.

In 2007, I had a dual boot (Ubuntu 7.10 and Windows). When I booted in
Ubuntu after a Windows session, I had lots of problems. In
Ubuntu-to-Ubuntu, Ubuntu-to-Windows and Windows-to-Windows, I did not have
problems. My solution: change PCs to Ubuntu-only and left one PC with
Windows-only.
Sound problem running alsa-oss without pulseaudio have been FIXED today with release of 2.6.31-2-rt. So update kernel to that. I assume there was a corresponding fix with the generic kernel.Yay! The brief improvement that allowed straight alsa to be used so well has not come back but maybe it's onl
