I have a really idiotic way of fixing dual boots.. Go into the BIOS and disable the windows drive, when I want to run linux, and enable windows and disable the linux drive when wanting to run windows. Of course you have to have two drives configured, but the windows drive doesn't see the linux..

Artur: In 2007, I had a dual boot (Ubuntu 7.10 and Windows). When I booted in Ubuntu after a Windows session, I had lots of problems. In Ubuntu-to-Ubuntu, Ubuntu-to-Windows and Windows-to-Windows, I did not have problems. My solution: change PCs to Ubuntu-only and left one PC with Windows-only.

Sound problem running alsa-oss without pulseaudio have been FIXED today with release of 2.6.31-2-rt. So update kernel to that. I assume there was a corresponding fix with the generic kernel.Yay!
