You've been very reasonable, thank you. I think I'll just go back to 18.04,
and take any issues I have to askubuntu.com.

around it simply? This
wasn't a problem on 18.04.
Also, when I change my primary display, nothing changes. The top bar along
with the whisker menu, time, and icons stay where they are. Is that not
what the primary display is supposed to change?
Thanks for any help,

I recently download the 12.04 version 64 bit and installed and it went smooth
(nice job). After the reboot and working with the system, I was going to work
with getting some music and play a movie or two. While doing this the machine
no longer sees the dvd drive. The machine is an acer aspire

There's about 2 weeks at the most before the composition begins so it
would be great to have recordings by the end of this week.
Thank you!

Anyone know why the mouse is acting weird? I've had it before in UBS but

Its a PCI hammerfall connected to an ultragain pro-8 bheringer box. I
tried turning the behringer AD converter on and off but jack doesn't
work (or starts and then soon stops). Once crashed, it seems screwed for
good. I'll try restarting alsa-utils and see how that goes, many tha
y restarts ALSA altogether.
Any ideas??
Many thanks!

Hi
My pc's having trouble with jack (nevermind why, its apparently to do
with my AMD processor) and when Jack freezes and I restart it, it
doesn't seem to work right..
The only solution I've got is to restart the whole pc, which is annoying
and time consuming. Is there any way to restart jack *pr
?
Basically, I just want to be able to record something! I'm not able
to record anything from the microphone at the moment as I could with
Studio To Go!
thanks

Thank you so much. All I knew was that the same commands and procedures
that had gotten it installed before just gave me error statements.

Yes, my desktop edition works fine with 3D graphics, NVIDIA drivers and
Xinerama enabled. The problem is I've got a RME hammerfall and Behringer
ADA8000 that NEED the RT kernel to operate without xruns.
But I really wanted two screens! Maybe it is as Karoliina mentioned, AMD
being the problem.

to work with ardour, hydrogen etc.
I tried modifying xorg manually in all sorts of ways but havent managed
to have xinerama enabled with the NV drivers... Is this even possible?
There must be a way to use open drivers and 2 screens! Any suggestions?
thanks
