Hi,
according to our (French) page on LinuxMAO :
http://linuxmao.org/tikiwiki/tiki-index.php?page=M_Audio_Audiophile_24192 ,
this cards works with the ice1724 module (
http://www.alsa-project.org/main/index.php/Matrix:Module-ice1724 ).
envy24control (or kenvy24) seems to not work with it (because
I've setup one box using M-Audio Audiophile 192 and it is running
KXStudio<http://kxstudio.sourceforge.net/>,
and the M-Audio 192 works well.

Well, so I think I'm gonna buy this M-Audio... but it's hard to find to buy

I have not owned the 192, but I do own the Audiophile 2496 (which is an older
version of the same card).
Well, to some extent: yes. But the 192 has a different chipset. It

I have not owned the 192, but I do own the Audiophile 2496 (which is an older
version of the same card). I've never had a single problem with the 2496, on
any platform, and it's pretty much plug-and-p
-drivers for the
cards little siblings (ICE 1712-cards like Maudio Audiophile 1024).
Starting Jack with Qjackctl would suspend PA and thus work around this
problems.

Have a look at the ffado device database:

Is this the correct card?

Thanks,
It appears, something new always comes around, and we need to get
used, to never, getting used to it. If we don't like it here, Linux
gives us the freedom to leave. Thats a nice, " how do you do ". It
appears to be the way, every distro is being assembled.
So far, my personal experience is, just

It is indeed a question why one needs such a sound server on a typical setup.
ALSA can do

soon, but still... Pulse and M-audio Audiophile 24/96 seams to be a bad
mix. I havent had any succes getting the two to work together, and thou
the problem might be on the M-audio side, at least it works flawless

Hi all,
About PulseAudio, I can understand some of the reasons why people dislike
it.
I am on the process to test the beta (10.04), and one of the most important
features is the inclusion of jack on the main repositories.
being said that, the integration with jack software now will be much better,

Hi,
Just a side comment. Unrelated, I have a M-Audio MobilePre USB
preamp. I gave up trying to get it to work, but the next day I had
gotten a link to a video to view.
Having forgotten that the preamp was still plugged into the USB, I
attempted to view it. My sound was completely locked out. I
