I agree with Glenn. While the advantages to 'upgrading' are incremental, the DOWNSIDE can be debilitating. 8.04 works with my Audigy 2 soundcard, 8.10 doesn't. And HAL doesn't see my mouse through a KVM switch, so it modifies xorg.conf upon boot-up. After three times, I plugged my 8.04 drive
