No actually that was exactly the point of this report and my suggestion 2b. If
you have this problem with entries other than those on the front 8 icons (that
are supposed to disappear), then it is not fixed and the bug remains valid.

Actually the hyphenation of launcher icon labels is still incorrect, or rather
nonexisting, so it could use a proper hyphenation support library. For example,
