I've implemented this, and I've tried to integrate it with apt-ddtp-
tools. However, since I'm not familiar with how to use apt-ddtp-tools,
I've not been able to test it very well. If someone more familiar with
apt-ddtp-tools could take a look at it, I'd be happy to make any changes

Not sure. After the fresh import from Debian this came up again. Maybe
it is just because there is a difference between the Ubuntu DDTP
translations and Debian's translations. It seems to me that Debian
translations sometimes overwrite Ubuntu translations after an import.

Are those from Oneiric ? I have this issue with strings translated in Oneiric,
not being imported into Raring.
Perhaps because the packages have been shifted from the main template to the
universe template and vice versa.

I'm using Precise. Now I remember that I've changed the Language from
German into English. But it doesn't work completely.
This seems to be a failure in my configuration not in apt-get.
So from my point of view, we can close this report.
