In case other Canonical staff need to check on the status of this when
Launchpad developers aren't around, the IS ticket is here (I'm afraid
this is company-private, but at least having any Canonical employee
being able to check is better than nothing):

We've fixed most of the code problems. We can't make significant further
improvements until we get the new database servers up and running, which
we're still working on.
