James,
This looks good in 12.04. Everything from what I can tell looks to be
translated into Simplified Chinese where it is supposed to be.
Thanks!

Hi David and Gabor,
I found the problem. The udpated language pack for Simplified Chinese
is still in -proposed, while I was looking for it in -updates.
When I tested the language pack from -proposed (which is indeed from
last week), the power management tool is now fully translated.
Thanks!
When is the next language pack for Simplified Chinese set to go out for
11.10? I tried this out today with a fully updated system with
Simplified Chinese as the default language and the "when the lid is
closed" option is still not translated.
Thanks!

Latest updates look a lot better on deja-dup. On the backup settings
window, everything appears to be translated now.
There appears to be one more thing left to translate, and it is one of
the buttons on the initial setup screen (see attached photo)

Hi David,
You can close these out. Your hint on scenario #2 and the fact that
stock ubuntu installs with oem-config led us on to something.
After some additional digging we found a bug in our dell-recovery tool
that was throwing things off while simulating a factory preload for a
machine bound f

Aron,
Here's how to find it in Ubuntu:
On the desktop, click the speaker icon in the panel and select "Sound
Settings". In the sound tool, click the "Output" tab. In the
"Connector:" Drop down box is a list of choices. One of them will say
"Analog Speakers". If you still can't find it, let me
