You have been subscribed to a public bug by Redmar (redmar): Launchpad often (constantly) encounters a time out error when searching in package descriptions, a very large template.
How te reproduce: - Go here: https://translations.launchpad.net/ddtp-ubuntu/oneiric/+pots/ddtp-ubuntu-universe/nl/+translate - Notice that the page loads properly - Now search for something in the template - Launchpad gives an time out error. (Error ID: OOPS-2117BA96) Usercase where this is a problem: The package descriptions contain an insane amount of translatable strings, so we use a frontend to launchpad (nightmonkey:http://nightmonkey.ubuntu.hu/ ) to only select those strings that will be visible in the software center (ie, to normal users).
