Hi everybody, we have one FFe/UIFe [1] that wasn't announced properly and thus hasn't hit translations or doc, sorry for that.
The confusion comes from whether [1] is covered or not by [2] and I wanted to make sure we have everything covered. In order to make things clear, I have split the feature that crept in out of [1] into [3] so it can be tracked there, leaving us with 2 requests for your approval [1] and [3]. We needed to patch Firefox to add an ubuntu specific interface to firefox for getting the xid of a tab so it can be used with web apps [1]. [3] tracks a so called chromeless mode of Firefox, which will not show any decoration or controls. The intention is that this will make a web app appear more like a regular application. There are disputable usability concerns regarding missing navigation elements. This has been discussed with Design and was further requested by sabdfl. Any impact on UIF and doc freeze should be remedied by Kate's announcement from yesterday regarding the respective timelines. I apologize for this slip and lack of communication and am totally willing to bribe affected members at UDS, let me know if you are there and I will try to make it up for you. As Neil stated in an earlier mail, we will address the underlying issue to prevent a similar situation for upcoming cycles.
