I have a Logitech QuickCam Pro 4000, and it works out the box with
skype and other Linux apps.

I've been using Ubuntu for a few years now and so far have generally been
able to find out which hardware is going to work and which isn't.
I've recently been looking to get a webcam to better stay in touch with a
couple of people that I know who've moved over seas. There seems to be a
bewilde
