I'm running 12.04.3 and I'm just starting to play with Calibre.
Most of what I do on the box is remote, it also doubles as my media server,

That was the first thing I tried and I get an error saying that the DHCP
server is not available for that interface. So for some reason it's won't
forget the address or where it got it from.

Under Alsamixer these was an column marked "s/pdif 1". It was marked MM for
mute, I unmuted it with "m".
