I installed 10.04 on my revo and I too struggled to get any sound via
HDMI which refused stubbornly to work despite my best efforts. Finally
I gave up and completed the install by activating the nvidia graphics
driver. After a reboot I was surprised to find that sound just started
working v

I have been looking for a low power server to replace an old machine I
run at home (a pentium II running hardy). In my search I came across
the Aleutia T1 fanless PC [1] which seems to fit the bill and comes
with Karmic pre-installed.

I too had the problem with shutdown warning other uses were logged in,
and prompting for a password. I tracked this down to having installed
mythtv on my laptop. I removed it (I was only testing it out anyway)
and the problem disappeared. It looks like there is a bug reported
