WRT Wine/Crossover, I wouldnt' be on it... the latest version of Publisher
(when I installed a trial on XP) told me that unless I updated my Virus
Checker (which alledgely wasn't approved by Microsoft) I would not be able
to save any files.
Be scared... very very scared...

Scribus is first class. Go for Scribus-ng because it is more advanced. I do
all my newsletters and leaflets on it

I don't think there is anything other than Publisher that reads/writes
Publisher is the most awful piece of software... the default formats for
saving ensure that even folks with Publisher can often not open documents
produced with later versions and, unlike with Powerpoint etc., there isn't
even a Publisher Viewer available for the unfortunate Windows users who
fall
