If Elisa doesn't start after you've edited the file until you remove
your additions, it sounds like you've got the syntax wrong.

There is a configuration file called ~/.elisa/elisa.conf which you can
edit with a text editor.
It has entries like:-

What did you edit, what did you add/remove/change and what happened. Did
you stop/start

i followed the instructions...entered the location details for media.
restarted my whole pc. Then ..nothing...from memory..i think elisa stopped
working..then had to take the location and it worked ok again...but without
my media as before!!!
