have you tried restarting your router/modem? [*yes*] if it's showing your
network but not displaying the icon for being connected, it's at least
detecting your network so i don't think it's a driver issue, unless i'm
wrong. [*not showing a network*]

My Ubuntu 16.04.3 LTS has suddenly stopped bringing up the WiFi network
connection.
The Ubuntu displays my Wifi network but will not bring up the network
