I installed the Legacy Driver, and my X-Windows still crashes. I thinks its
better than before. It used to crash frequently if I tried to open a few
Firefox windows. When it crashed this time, I had a couple of Firefox
windows open and a Gimp session with a 4MB JPEG file. It crashed
The raof/aubergine PPA leaves libdrm-nouveau1 as held-back (on Lucid at
least) because it wants to remove xserver-xorg-video-all and
xserver-xorg-video-nouveau. I'm assuming we should just leave it unupgraded?
Also, are you looking for testing specifically on Maverick, or are tests on
Lucid still
I've been running this on my Lucid install on an i845 chip. I haven't had a
freeze yet after about 3 days. It's been up for 19 hours straight now.
