After a fresh reboot, blender is again exhibiting the same issues
reported in this bug. I've attached a screenshot which shows:
- The menu is offset from the application window.
- Similar to other attachments on this bug report, the bottom half of the

After some issues upgrading to karmic, i was able to this out. This
seemed to fix the issue i was having in Xine, VLC, and mplayer.
All seems well on the home front in regard to this issue.
Thanks all for your help.

xine crashes on open with X Error - BadAlloc
On my Jaunty box, I installed only the Karmic kernel (linux-
image-2.6.30-10-generic_2.6.30-10.12_amd64.deb), and with all other
packages being Jaunty-based, I can reproduce this same problem --
keyboard and mouse lock up when X starts.

And if I switch my kernel to the one at http://kernel.ubuntu.com
/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v2.6.30/ (linux-
image-2.6.30-020630-generic_2.6.30-020630_amd64.deb) I cannot reproduce
the problem. X starts up just fine.

Hi Bryce, I am on jaunty 2.6.28-13-generic and run ati-driver-
installer-9-4-x86.x86_64.run . The fglrx version is the following:
fglrx-amdcccle_8.602-0ubuntu1_amd64.deb . The behaviour of the ATI
HD2600 Pro card is acceptable. I am not sure - since this PC is for
explotation - if I am willing to

I've posted a new version of the -nvidia driver to our xorg-edgers PPA,
would you mind testing it either on Jaunty or Karmic and see if it
resolves this bug?
