Great that you found out that it was the 85 Hz frequency that causes the
corruption. I have never seen a LVDS display running at 85 Hz before.
The added lines to Xorg.0.log is from EDID probing. This also happens
when you run xrandr. Does simply running xrandr cause problems as well?

Steve can you confirm this issue still exists with the most recent
-intel driver? In our previous snapshot KMS was not allowing EDID to be
exported to gnome-settings-daemon, however I cherrypicked a patch in
2:2.7.99.1+git20090602.ec2fde7c-0ubuntu5 on july 1st which purportedly
fixes it. That

second monitor fails to wake up?
That would be helpful as well.
Thanks

I can confirm that I have this problem on Jaunty on setup with three
screens/xinerama: two on Nvidia 6600GT AGP and one FX5200 PCI. Obviously
I can't use TwinView. :) Using the NVidia 173 drivers.
I also have GLX disabled, since the driver doesn't work correctly with
it enabled.

Attached is the contents of .xsession-error for a clean session startup,
switch to power save mode, and the failed wakeup. The file doesn't
change when I attempt to wake up the monitor.

Confirmed, works for me too! Yay, I can go back to using Ubuntu now! :)
