easily see the issue? It is possible that it is an issue in OOo but I
have seen other xserver related issues in the past that sometimes just
showed up in OOo. I am still running Ubuntu 9.04 at the moment with OOo
3.1.0
Oh wow, I think I was just able to reproduce the issue myself, when
dragging a slide down in the slide list it seems to be fine, but when I
tried dragging a slide to a higher position I got the really weird
slowdown. I am running on 9.04 with intel driver gma4500 graphics
(ThinkPad X200).

I have Ubuntu 9.04 and when I installed Firefox 3.5 and Opera any time I
have flash streaming video cpu usage goes through the roof. My cpu fan
kicks into high gear and doesnt stop till after i restart...even when I
kill firefox or opera. Also I get random high cpu usage just from
logging in.
I tested with 3.0.1 and doing the same thing can't reproduce the issue
on it so this does appear to actually be an issue with OOo 3.1.0
somehow. I should have OOo 3.1.1~rc1 uploaded after alpha 4 release
later this week and hopefully the bug will be resolved.
