I should get Karmic alpha 4 installed on my memory card as well..
I wasnt able to get it on a USB stick using unetbootin, I guess it was because
Karmic used GRUB2.
Ill have to look into it and try running Karmic (I guess you could run it off a
CD and then make a bootable USB via Karmic itself).
After spending quite some time investigating this issue, with the
conclusion that changes in the way XvMC VLD is used in mythtv is the
likely source of this problem. The fact that xine runs smoothly also
indicates in this direction. The message Unable to create XvMC
Surface. is actually harmless
Eli, there has been recent work on TV-out support. Maybe you can try an
ati/radeon package for Jaunty from my PPA

few Mozilla windows and surfing in internet, the system doesn't respond
